In this two session class, Mary Gay will be teaching you all about One Block Wonder quilts following the One-Block Wonders Encore!” book which features 6 original quilt projects that will help you to choose the right fabrics and create dramatic designs – including hollow cubes, sliced open cubes, and tumbling blocks – all with simple, practical techniques. A bold new spin on one-block quilts, composed of gorgeous, eye-catching kaleidoscopes. Learn the importance of a design wall while working on your own design wall. Discover the secret of piecing hexagons while sewing only straight seams. No set-ins! You also will learn to make several kinds of cubes to give your quilt even more life.
NO Y seams and NO FUSSY cutting.
Check out the design helper on the oneblockwonder.com page. We have so much fun taking pictures of panels in the shop to get an idea of what the blocks will look like. Come on in and we will be happy to show you how the design helper works.
